TikTok got banned in India

Tikok is a Chinese app which was launched in the international market in September 2017. On 23 January 2018 it got no. 1 rank among the free downloading app.

The Indian government has banned 59 Chinese mobile apps. Tiktok is the most famous app among these. The IT ministry said that it had received a number of complaints about the misuse of some apps in various platforms such as play store and ios store.

 Under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act, the Ministry of Information Technology has decided to block these 59 apps.

The government said that it is hostile to India’s national security is ultimately based on India’s sovereignty and integrity, it is of great concern. This subject needs emergency measures. The Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center had also recommended a comprehensive ban on these apps.

The statement said the move would “protect the interests of crores of Indian mobile and Internet users.” This decision is a step towards ensuring the security and sovereignty of Indian cyberspace.

These reports conveyed  that these apps steal users’ data and send them unauthorizely to servers located outside India.

Who is the founder of tiktok?

Zhang YiMing  is the founder of ByteDance that developed TikTok.. He is a old Chinese billionaire at the age of 36, who beame the ninth richest person in China.

Is tiktok a spy app ?

Yes, it is a spy app for sure.

Why it got banned?

 Besause this app’s activities seems that it was a  threat to “national security and defence of India”.
